The B & B Mastrazzi is situated in an enviable position. We are on the promenade in front of Riposto the Port of Etna, with such stunning views that have to be seen to be believed the moment you step outside your room, between Catania and Taormina, a few meters from the sea, near the beach of Fondachello and rocks of Torre Archirafi , within walking distance of all essential services to those who are on vacation: bus stop-shop, pharmacy, hospital, doctors surgery, car rental, bars and restaurants, coffee shops, ice-cream parlour, supermarkets, traditional Sicilian bakery just across the road with all sorts of freshly baked sweet & savoury breads & yummies and many other amenities.
Just a few minutes to reach the historic city of Riposto (historic Cathedral) and Giarre (a large town which is equipped with every possible amenity – 15 minutes by foot or 5 minutes by car), less than half an hour to get to nearby stunning Taormina (please google Taormina and its breathtaking sights & architecture), Giardini Naxos (sea-side resort), Acireale and Catania’s historic City (also on the coast), 40 minutes to climb Mount Etna and only an hour to get to Syracuse. There is a train station in Giarre so you can access all cities daily.

How to find/reach us:
Arriving by car/road:
From Catania International Airport to Riposto: total distance about 40 km, for an approximate 35 minutes journey
- From Catania Airport follow green signs for A18 AUTOSTRADA Catania-Messina (via E45 Tangenziale di Catania)
- the SP70 brings you to E45 Tangenziale di Catania by turning right onto Uscita/Exit CIRCONVALLAZIONE Catania (and AUTOSTRADA Catania-Messina)
– You are now on E45 Tangenziale di Catania – Follow direction for A18 AUTOSTRADA Catania-Messina (head towards San Gregorio)
- At (San Gregorio) Station Toll get the ticket and drive until Uscita/Exit Giarre (which is the second exit) – toll: 0.60 cents-euro)
– at the T junctions turn left (heading towards SS 114 Giarre – Riposto : distance about 5 km)
– continue along SS 114 towards Giarre
– go through Giarre High Street until you see (on your left) the Cathedral and next a big Square – at the traffic lights turn right onto Corso Italia (downhill)
– Continue onto Corso Italia – cross the railways barriers and you get to Riposto (still along Corso Italia)
– Continue onto Corso Italia until the end (on your left you can see a Square the the Basilica/Cathedral of Riposto) – turn right onto Via Gramsci
- after about 200 metres turn left onto Via Circumvallazione (downhill)
– on your left you can see the AGIP petrol station, turn right before the T junction: this leads you 30 metres to Largo Bagni where I Mastrazzi B&B is located.
Arriving by Train:
From Catania International Airport take a bus (AMT) to Stazione di Catania (Catania Railways Station) - take a Train to Giarre – Riposto (an approximate 20 minutes journey). We will be delighted to arrange to collect you on arrival (free of charge)
